This Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lesson helps the student become more articulate with their hips and shoulders. It very common for us to develop habits of action where the shoulders are pulled along by our arms and our hips are pulled along by our legs. This can keep them permanently out of alignment and reduce the flexibility of their functioning. This lesson brings their placement and use into the forefront of consciousness, which will help with many movements, but is especially helpful for those interested in improving their walking. This lesson will reduce tension in all muscles connected to the shoulders and hips, so can help relax the spine, chest, neck, arms, thighs, gluteal muscles, groin, and abdomen.
